Roland Gallay, experienced capacitor expert, in the domain of film foiled capacitors, metallized film capacitors, supercapacitors (EDLC, ultracapacitors) has more than 60 publications and 33 years of experience, in particular as WW R&D director by Condis, montena and Maxwell Technologies. Starting September 1st 2010, he takes mandates to help to size, design, develop and industrialize capacitors and supercapacitors with the highest performances on the market. The supercapacitor expertise includes knowledge on carbon, electrode, cell and module production processes.
Garmanage can help to analyze capacitor failures modes, such as corrosion, corona, leakage, melting, fire, explosion, ....) and to improve design or/and manufacturing processes.
The site contains a tool to perform the calculation of the size of a storage system taking into account the derating due to temperature and voltage solicitations. A description of the supercapacitor technology, including design and properties is proposed in the energy storage section.
